Since its beginning, SSTL has sold satellite subsystems allowing customer spacecraft to benefit from years of in orbit experience. Each subsystem has the kind of reliability that only comes from actually having been flown in space.

Typical off-the-shelf subsystems include X-band transmitters, hard disk recorders, on-board computers and reaction wheels.  Tailor-made solutions can also be provided such as for propulsion systems and solar arrays.

For maximum efficiency SSTL can provide suites of equipment such as the attitude control suite and the downlink chain.  Each suite can be treated as a black-box reducing system design requirements and providing a very cost effective solution when compared to the purchase of individual items.

All subsystems are shipped with a user manual, test reports, interface description and full warranty.
