SSTL-12

The SSTL-12 is a high quality, rapid, cost-effective small satellite platform ideally suited for machine to machine, store and forward communications, signal intelligence and technology demonstration applications.  The baseline platform provides an entry level solution for those with modest mission requirements, with various options that can be used to enhance the performance and capabilities for those with higher demands. 
 

 

 

SSTL-100 

The SSTL-100 has historically been the work horse of the Surrey platform capability, used for the implementation of a number of communications-related applications for the commercial, institutional and government customer community.  
The high quality, rapid, cost effective small satellite solution is ideally suited for machine to machine, store and forward communications, signal intelligence and technology demonstration applications.  

The baseline platform provides a versatile and scalable solution that is specifically designed to facilitate ease of payload integration, and options are available to enable tailoring to fit specific mission needs. 
 

 

 

SSTL-150 

The SSTL-150 is a higher performance variant of the Surrey LEO platform family, with specific configurations optimised to exploit various launch opportunities such as ESPA and ISS.  

The SSTL-150 high quality, rapid, cost effective platform solution is ideally suited for machine to machine, store and forward communications, signal intelligence and technology demonstration applications.  The enhanced payload carrying capacity of the platform also facilitates its use for hosted payload mission opportunities, as well as accommodating more demanding and complex payload configurations.  

A number of options exist for this configuration of platform enabling higher performance propulsion for orbit manoeuvre and positioning, on-board storage and high rate downlink communications.

The SSTL-300 is a high quality, rapid, cost effective small satellite platform ideally suited for intermediate to high power low earth orbit communications applications.  The versatile, modular platform design facilitates rapid payload accommodation and customisation to meet specific mission needs.

The SSTL-600 platform was used as the basis for the European Navigation precursor mission, a technology demonstration and frequency filing mission which secured Europe's frequency filings for its global positioning system, Galileo.
The SSTL-600 platform's power and propulsion systems can be tailored to cover a range of different requirements, and the generous payload accommodation enables more complex payloads to be flown, as well as conventional bent pipe transponder based solutions.
