TMSat (1998)

First microsatellite to take multispectral Earth images, TMSat (1998)

TMSat was the first Thai microsatellite and was launched in 1998 for Mahanikorn University in Bangkok.  A team of 12 engineers from the University completed a know-how technology transfer programme in the UK with SSTL as part of the programme. 
 
TMSat carried multi-spectral Earth observation cameras and digital store-&-forward communications payloads making use of the advanced on-board processing and autonomous GPS positioning.
